The incidence of back and neck pain is on a rise not only among the elder generation but also the young. The elderly generally suffer from degeneration due to wear and tear. However there is an increasing young population suffering from back and neck pain due to poor posture, seated job environment, poor work economics, lack of physical activity or due to sports injuries.

Many injuries are due to individuals who indulge in various sports without enough stretching and mobilising their joints and muscles, no or poor warm up and cool down before and after the sport. Unfortunately very little attention or no attention is given to flexibility and stability of muscles and joints, therefore resulting in serious injuries.
Mehernaaz offers a 3 steps solution to rehabilitate her back & neck pain clients:

Step 1 – Complete & detailed assessment
She studies the medical condition from childhood to current in detail as well as performs thorough clinical orthopaedic tests
Step 2 – Assessment & Education on lifestyle modifications
Work ergonomics, nature of job, sleep habits, lifting habits, nutrition habits, stress levels, physical activity or sport, gastrointestinal inflammation, menstrual cycle are looked into and discussed in detail
Step 3 – A corrective personalised exercise program
Based on assessments in step 1, a tailor – made program is prepared and the corrective exercises are taught to the clients

The exercise program is changed every 4 to 6 weeks to help the patient / client to achieve new heights in flexibility, stability, strength and conditioning and to work towards a stronger and pain free back.

Clients are made aware that curing back and neck pain requires a corrective exercise program as well as lifestyle changes. Both go hand in hand.
